Amazing collab between blogger Mandy of Oracle Fox and board brand Billabong. I have always been a fan of billabong for their snowboard gear as it's always really durable and warm, yet still super feminine, but I'll be honest in saying I never thought to look at the everyday fashion side of the brand. Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, it's been quite hard to find the time what with christmas, new year, personal stuff and work. But it is now a new year and hopefully a much more organised one. That's one of my new years resolutions, to keep organised. I have no problem with organising, in fact I'm quite OCD when it comes to arranging and sorting things out, but it never stays that way for very long and before I know it everything is messy again. But this WILL change this year!

BATOKO had it's first christmas and did extremely well (big reason why I didn't have a free second to blog). I am in the process of buying new stock because it needs bulking up again after the festive period. I've got some new web designs/tweaks in the works too which will hopefully improve the whole site visually whilst also making it simpler to use, hurrah!

Anyway, I shall love you and leave you for now with some familiar faces rocking BATOKO - Native Fox, Jag Lever, Le Happy, Anouska Proetta Brandon and Frassy.

8. I finally invested in a new make-up brush set. (The pug bag was a gift from my boyfriend a while ago and is by 'Catseye London' - very cute gift idea).

I adore this outfit. I love how the dotty sheer tights match the dotty sheer top and would you believe I have had these Topshop tights for nearly a year and they haven't laddered yet - this must be a record, right?! The skirt is Batoko, which I have currently sold out of (it's a popular one) but it will be back in stock in the next couple of weeks, yay! This is sooo not a clever outfit for the cold wintery weather that has finally arrived, but throw over a fluffy faux fur coat and it's party ready!

Just a few things I'm currently lusting after. Still loving metallics and absolutely obsessed with this silver satchel from Cambridge Satchel Company available in every colour of the rainbow at ASOS (I would buy one in each colour if I could). I'm already picturing these pieces together - I'm thinking of pairing the green jeans with the green shoes, adding a top in the same pink as the dress and finishing it with the silver satchel and ring....BEAUT'!!!!

Asymmetrical. Sheer. Black. All 3 tick the YES box! I've expressed my love for black in previous posts and although I do love a bit of colour clashing, black is always my firm favourite. Here I layered the batoko sheer blouse with asymmetrical hem over a tucked in vest from topshop and sheer asymmetrical midi skirt. I love pairing similar or exact textures with each other and I think these blend beautifully. So simple, but effective.

HALF MOONS

*Sorry about the quality of these photos (a mixture of photobooth + iPhone cam).

I first noticed these half-moon nails on the amazing Ivania and knew I had to give them ago. I'm sure there are other ways to create this look, but this is how I went about it. So I started with a sticky base coat by CND, then used Sally Hansen - Nearly Nude (which I think originally came with a manicure set) and finished this with a top coat by Beauty Secrets - Fast Finish. To create the half moons I used some curved manicure sticker guides and painted on the inside with Express Finish Lacquer by Maybelline. Once they were dry I pealed back the stickers, applied one more fast finish top coat and tra daa....it's as simple as peas (in the words of Keith Lemon).

I didn't honestly plan on making this a post until I started getting technical with the stickers and thought I'd snap a few quick photos. They're not perfect, in fact there is one nail that ran a bit and it's driving me mad, but overall, I don't think they're too bad for my first attempt.

One thing I love about bargain hunting is that you can get end up with FIVE on-trend pieces for the price of ONE next door. I went a bit crazy on the gold front and grabbed a handful of metallics for just under £50 which I think is absolutely amazing. Dare I say I find shopping in Primark a little like vintage shopping, you have to thrift your way through all the crap to find the goods and when you do find that special piece there's no nausea when you turn over the price tag.

This vintage dress is so ugly that it's cute...does that make sense? I think toned down with a cute minimal jumper it looks lovely. I bought this crop-curved jumper in the manchester topshop and really wish I bought it in a few different colours as I can't find it in my teeny tiny branch and there's no sign of it online either...weird! When I tell you I'm pretty much living in it, that is no exaggeration - it's literally the perfect throw-over-anything knit and if you are lucky enough to find one do not hesitate just GET IT (and another for me)!

What can I say, I just LOVE this Latvian label. Not only are the designs and fabrics unreal, so are the prices (seeing as each item is handprinted and made to order). I am still yet to purchase my own piece of QooQoo and to be honest I'm warming to the tacky-goodness of a t-dress splattered with dogs faces.

Just playing around with a vintage pencil skirt, who knew there were so many way's to wear one. I think my favourite is the 2 piece - high waist and boob-tube combination. It's quite hard to tell, but in real-life this skirt has such a lovely metallic shine to it and the fit (like most vintage) hides a multiple of sins.

My favourite things about A/W 11 so far are the dramatic shaggy jackets and wax coated jeans - I think the two combined would look perfect. What a whirlwind of a week! Firstly I want to say a huge thank you to those who left such lovely comments on my last post, I know it was probably bit of a 'what do I say?!' kind of post, but your caring words really meant a lot to me, plus helped me dry my tears - so thank you :)

On a different note, me and bonz got some good news that we'd been waiting for for some time, which is that we can now officially start apartment hunting in Manchester as he has been offered a great contract at the production company he's been freelancing for. So I suppose it's like they say - every cloud has a silver lining.

It is, however, going to take some getting used to; opening my curtains to a buzzing city each morning, rather than watching the lazy horses grazing in the field, but I'm sure I'll survive as I love Manchester. I'm also looking forward to attending some of the Manchester blogger meet-ups I always hear about too and meeting some of you lovelies!

PS. You know what is hard work, seeing all the amazing A/W 11 stock coming into shops and knowing I can't buy any of it because I have to behave and save - growing up is crap really isn't it?!

On monday evening my cat became really sick and sadly died only a few hours later.

She was only 8 years old, happy, healthy and extremely loved.

We found her when she was only days old - she had been abandoned and left in a pile of teddy's, it was only until one moved that we realised she was there. She was the size of my hand and her eyes hadn't opened yet. We took her home with us, where she gained strength, grew up and became best friends with our golden retriever, Scooby, who she would curl up with on the rug by the fire and clean his paws and face whilst he slept.

After a lot of painful research, we believe from her symptoms that she had eaten some poison. Anything from weed killers/pest controls/petroleum can all be poisonous to animals whether they eat/drink or absorb it through the skin. Symptoms may take weeks before they appear and often by the time they do show, it's too late.

I'm so thankful we found her that day and took her home. She had an amazing life chasing mice in our fields, play fighting with Scooby, lounging in the sun and giving everyone huge amounts of face kisses. She was unconditionally loved and will be forever missed.

Hope you are all well? Last weekend was mine and bonz 3rd year 'anniversary' so we stayed at Roomzzz in Manchester, where I would happily live. We mostly shopped, walked, scoffed our faces and went to see the Inbetweeners movie, which was bloody hilarious.

Well, I just found out that it is a bank holiday weekend, which means even more relaxing. Have a good'un all.

I love how versatile this little dress is. It's block primary colours make it easy to pair with all sorts and so I chose my blue ASOS cardigan that I bought at the end of last winter. It would have made sense to buy it at the start of winter sure, however my brain sometimes (most of the time) doesn't work that way. I am not a very sensible buyer, instead of practicality I get sucked in by spur of the moment lust, hence my utterly uncoordinated, mismatched wardrobe.

Cannot remember for the life of me where I found this shoot...a distant part of my memory is saying 'online magazine' but I'm not totally sure (if anyone knows, I'll link it up).

So I've officially jumped on the Lita bandwagon (if a little late) and now I'm wondering why I put it off for so long. I tend to be a bit put off by 'IT items' sometimes, mainly because everyone seems to doing 'IT'/they're never as good in reality/they have a habit of suddenly being 'past it'. However I always had a little ache in my heart for the Lita's, sooooo...I went for it and to my delight as soon as I put them on, I could understand the hype. If you are on the fence like me, I say go for it...they are probably the nicest/highest/versatile/true to size/comfy shoes I've ever introduced to my tootsies.

You may have also noticed that I've had my hair chopped off *tear*. The ends were so dry and brittle that I thought I'd beat it to it before they dropped off themselves. I'm going to vow to keep it in good condition from now on and resist temptation for hair extensions, I need to channel the shorter look for a bit.

A rainy day calls for comfiness. I found this amazing pure cashmere jumper in a charity shop near where I live for £2.40. A definite future best friend come the winter months. I also managed to get my hands on the sell out Topshop studded slip-ons finally and have started pulling the feathers out of my bitchy levi shorts. Tempted to shred the front a bit to match the back...I should really resist attacking my clothes.

Just a few snaps from our break in Corfu. It's such a pretty island, full of sandy beaches and lush green countryside. We took a boat out to some hidden beaches, that are only accessible by boat, so you can imagine how amazing and untouched they were. The cliffs were unreal too, with mini beaches caved into the rocks. It kind of felt a little like we were in 'The Beach', unfortunately there was no Leonardo DiCaprio in our paradise though, shame!

We stayed in the beautiful village of Pelekas, which is renown for having the best sunset view of the whole island. Now Topman isn't somewhere I would particularly find myself, seeing as I'm not a boy and the fact that my boyfriend is allergic to it (not literally, he just hates the place). However I was surprised when I heard about Topman jewellery. I know it's not for everyone, but it's right up my street with it's grungey tones and bold shapes, plus the prices are amazing. I'm sure plenty will agree when I say that it's really quite hard to get back into the swing of things after a long bank holiday. It takes so long to wind down and relax, by the time you fully have it's over and you've got to kick yourself back into work mode. However it has been nice taking some time off and going down to the sea with the dog, gorging of fish & chips and ice-cream and running about barefoot in the sun. I hope you all had an equally as good bank holiday too, and who would have thought it, we've got another one in 2 days time.

As you can see here I am sporting a very summery outfit...or not. This is my attempt at season hopping.
As hot as it is in the day, it aint so hot come evening time, so out come the knits, but on stay the sunnies.

Now the bag, the bag. So many of you have been asking whether it's the real deal or not! Well I can tell you that it is in fact a £20 non-branded studded bottom bag, that resembles possibly the worlds most perfect arm candy. As much as I love the Wang (and despise down-right replica's) I do not unfortunately have the disposable income to be able to treat myself to one...I hate growing up. So for the time being I will settle with my much stressed non-branded bag, that maybe looks a bit like an expensive, famous one :)

I found a bundle of old silver cross beads at a market near where I live and made myself a little bracelet. I love making these types of bracelet's because they are easy and almost therapeutic - simply threading along an elasticated wire. I saw a bracelet similar to this a while ago, so when I came across this bunch of beads, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them. I like the simplicity and overall rustic look of it.

If, like me, you used to cover your bedroom walls in magazine rip outs when you were younger then with or without knowing it you were indulging in some crafty decoupage style art. My busy walls are long gone and now replaced with white paint and floral panelling, but the remains of my messy decoupage days still cover the insides of my dressing table draws, where I would rip pages out of old books and line the insides. I've always thought this craft was quite old-skool and a bit frumpy, but I've been coming across more and more new fresh designs using this technique lately. And I suppose what better way is there to spruce up an old dusty mirror or some ugly storage boxes you've had for donkeys years for pretty much zero pennies. PLUS it's good for the environment (recycling and all that).
And why stop at furniture, when you can get cutting & sticking with your shoes, bags, jewellery, clothes...patterns, bright colours and texture are everywhere at the moment, so what better time to pull out that stack of magazines you've been hoarding forever and get imaginative.

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with pink, I would refuse to wear it when I was younger as it reminded me of Barbie and I really didn't rate Barbie as a kid. I can remember sitting in my living room with a pair of scissors & a bin and cutting all of my barbies hair off. After that my mum threw them all out and my obsession with Lego began. I was such a boy. As I've got older, the colour pink has really started to grow on me, so much so that I would class it as one of my favourite colours. How things change eh?!

So I've come to realise that there is no right way of wearing bright red pants when your 5 ft 3 and don't own a pair of supermodel stick thin legs. This season's colour-blocking trend isn't the most forgiving and I've come to the conclusion that to pull a look like this off, you've just got to go for it at full throttle, whilst preferably adding a pair of 5" heels and resisting to roll up the bottoms like I did (no time for sewing). By trying to avoid looking like a human carrot, I opted for a white jacket and some gold jewellery.

PARIS

We literally took hundreds of photo's on our trip to Paris, so selecting only a few proved to be more difficult than I first anticipated.

Day 1 (half day): We arrived in Paris around lunchtime on the Saturday and felt a bit lost and small in a big city, but managed to find the Moulin Rouge (which wasn't all glitz & showy as I imagined it would be, but quite dingy actually). We had a little walk around for a while, grabbed some late lunch and got an early night as we were all groggy from traveling.

Day 2: The next day we got up bright & early and found our way to the Arc De Triomphe. We then took a stroll down the Champs Elysees and saw the humongous LV store/head office and the remains of Paris Fashion Week. Sigh. We then found ourselves in a museum that resembled Eureka. After a funny look from the French ticket man, and about half an hour into the museum with small people running around our feet, it slowly dawned on us that this WAS a museum for children and was indeed the French version of Eureka. Needless to say, we quite enjoyed the stuffed Camels and Polar Bears and learnt some facts about the moon, which you never know when you'll need...Feeling brave we tried Snails for lunch, which were surprisingly really, really good and then later in the afternoon we went right to the top of The Eiffel Tower and watched the sun go down over the city.

Day 3: Another early morning ready with our tourist tools: map + camera + geeky rucksack. We passed the famous Opera and walked past The Ritz Paris whilst ogling in the windows of Chanel (well I did, whilst my boyfriend practically tugged my arm off). After all the morning sightseeing we finally found the Louvre, which I'll be honest was great at first, but the pure size of the place & the amount of statues, even we got a bit tired & silly near the end of the day = cue immature headless statue pictures.

Day 4: On the last day we decided to hunt down The Notre Dame. Inside was beautiful and the atmosphere was incredible. We went up top and into the Bell Tower where all the (Disney famous) stones gargoyles sat looking over Paris. I'll be honest, climbing up about 500 spiral stone steps really takes it out of you, so we just hung around the bistros and took some photos on the river, before the long trek back to our Hotel. Then we ended our lovely trip with a famous Parisian delicacy...Dominos Pizza.

HOMEWARD BOUND

Bonjour. I'm back from Paris and quite frankly a tired, clumsy mess.

We arrived back in gloomy England yesterday lunchtime, but went straight on to Stoke where my boyfriends short film was being screened; then it was drinks, a bit of sleep & two long train journeys home on my lonesome this morning. At last I have made it back to my humble abode, yet got a shock when I caught site of myself in the mirror as I walked through the door - I am indeed rocking what can only be described as the zombie look.

I'd like to say a humongous thank you to all those who wished me a happy birthday for last week, I had a lovely relaxed day opening presents and watching what can only be described as the best film ever created: Labyrinth.

This skirt is in fact the underskirt to one of my mum's dresses that she removed. Before she had the chance to throw it out, I saved it and turned it into my new skirt.

This old vintage binocular bag is equally as amazing. I can just imagine it back in the 60s, swinging from some long-haired hippies arm at Woodstock in the sun.

As some of you may know (I haven't shut up about it really), it's my birthday on thursday, so to celebrate I'm going to Paris on saturday with my boyfriend. Woohoo. As you can imagine I am highly excited and already worrying about baggage allowance ha. So expect lot's of photos on return.

These navy trousers were a sale find on ASOS. I'm not necessarily a trouser wearer, in fact this is the only pair I own, however I thought for £15 I'd give them a go. And I really do love them. I find that this style in particular are quite versatile and easy to style, plus I'm really fond of the little zip details on the waist. The crop top is an old Topshop number, but a firm favourite of mine. It makes most of it's appearances in summer, but on the odd occasion it can find itself snug under a chunky knit in colder seasons.

Thought I'd share with you my latest purchase - a little studded number from the Ragged Priest.
They re-work vintage tee's, adding leather, studs, fringe and basically anything else they can get their hands on. This particular top is re-worked from an old vintage t-shirt and has been designed with the inspiration of the 1980s punk scene using traditional British heritage fabrics. Mmm lovely.

If there is one thing catching my eye at the moment, it's outlandish, colour-blocking prints. In my opinion, the louder and wilder the design, the better. I've put together my favourite printed pieces from mainly this season, resulting in a fierce mix of both high-end and high-street.

I'm a basics girl through-and-through. I like simplicity, however always try to add a pop of imagination and detail to an outfit. I believe an outfit is never finished until you add your own personal touch - your personality bit, the part that makes you unique. Adding one of these key pieces could be the cherry on top of any 'simple' outfit, giving it that extra edgy goodness.

You know when you love an item of clothing so much, that you end up going back and getting it in various different colours? And at £3.50 how could you not?! If you have a Matalan near you, I recommend that you go have a nosy.

I really am a sucker for those product-placed till thingies. You know the one's where you are in the queue at the till and there just so happens to be an array of brightly coloured nail varnishes screaming "BUY ME" at you and then a little further along in the line appears a box full of chunky jewels and rings, that you then have to buy 2 of, because you couldn't decide between them both.

Today I wanted to share with you one of my favourite style blogs of the moment - Princess and the Pea x

The best way I can find to describe this gorgeous lady's style is feminine but tough, with a bohemian edge. Think fashionista's such as Gillian Zinser, Sienna Miller and Nicole Richie. Her looks are always perfectly accessorized too, whether it's with fringe (you all know how I love the fringe), feather or fur. She even manages to pull of a dressing gown as part of her outfit, which is pretty damn impressive in it's self.
I could ramble on about her style and how lovely she is all day, but as the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words, so I will leave you with a few of my favourite looks of hers.

I bought this dress to wear to my boyfriends 21st, but I couldn't wait until then. It's quite a casual dress and has an all-over slouchy feel, however the structured sleeves add a bit of 'dressiness' to it. I love finding an item of clothing that is easy to dress up or down, they always tend to be a good investment as you can get loads of wear out of it. I am also the cardigan monster at the moment, whenever I spot a good baggy knit I HAVE to get it. They're just so easy to wear and go with practically anything. I find that Vila do some of the best knitwear and they are always reasonably priced too.

I have a current (unhealthy) obsession with all things fringe. Here is a selection of wonderfully fringey pieces that have caught my eye recently. The dress is a steal from my mum's wardrobe which I saved from a clear-out. It's ultra soft and floaty and so easy to wear as it goes with pretty much anything. I recently bought some amazing fuchsia lip paint from Lord & Berry which I haven't had the bottle to wear up until now as it's very in-your-face (excuse the pun) but I think it goes rather well with the whole monochrome look.

Recently I discovered the clothing shop Monki and got all over-excited (even more so when I saw how affordable it was), however depression soon kicked in when I found out that it was near impossible for me to ever own any of these amazing pieces as unfortunately England is practically the only place in Europe that doesn't have a Monki shop, nor does it have an online store. Nightmare! So instead of crying about it I decided to blog my very favourite pieces from their collection, as you do. It was a tough job, but in the end I managed to little it down to 5 each of the following categories - Knitwear, Leggings, Accessories/Jewellery, Skirts & Tops.

After stalking my favourite style blogs for some time and drooling over all their wonderful outfits, I have finally been inspired to start up my own blog and try a few outfit posts myself.
This is basically just an easy, everyday look that I chucked together this morning.

Tonight me & the boy are going to see 127 hours. The film about the guy who get's crushed by a rock and has to cut his own arm off...yummeh!!!
